Mr. Claudio Macarty, founder of PYSO, is a former PUMAS UNAM promoter. During the 90's sponsored the Pumas UNAM to have their Summer Pre-season Camps in Oxnard, California like never before; the Pumas team was able to practice with "high quality standards, just like an NFL team, thanks to Mr. Claudio Macarty", (el Nuevo Tiempo Newspaper-Santa Barbara, July of 1994), with the best facilities, equipment and soccer fields available at that time. Moreover, their trainings included daily practice at the private hotel beachfront for sand warm ups and drills. All these advantages helped the team being ready for those high competitive Liga MX seasons. Also, Mr. Macarty brought Pumas UNAM professional team to play in Los Angeles, California and showcased the Pumas UNAM team to play for the first time in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, California. Well known Directors and players from Pumas were part of those events, such as: President of the Team Jorge Borja Navarrete (RIP), Head Coach Ricardo Ferretti, Special guest Bora Milutinović, Assistant Coaches Enrique Lopez Arza and Mauricio Peña (RIP), Jorge Campos, Claudio Suarez, Jorge Bernal, Braulio Luna, Jorge Santillana, Eduardo Medina, Jesus Olalde, José Damasceno "Tiba", among others who were part of those amazing pre-seasons in the mid 90's.
